Library Services

Both Open and Close Access System have been maintained simultaneously in the Library. Students are allowed to choose their books from the shelves. Different services are regularly being rendered such as:

Lending Service :

Students can borrow One book for 7 days. UGC Teachers may issue 10 books at a time. SACT Teachers may issue 6 books and Non-Teaching Staff members may borrow 4 books at a time.

Newspaper, Magazines, Career Guidance books and journals:

Students, Teachers and other staff members may read Magazines, Newspapers, Career Guidance books and journals, Reference books in the Reading Room.

Reference Service :

All members including Students, Teachers and Non-Teaching Staff members are provided required reference service.

WEBOPAC :

We have introduced KOHA Library Management Software in the cloud from 2021.  Anybody may search for books, Rare books and bound volume journals of UCC Library at any time through KOHA OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue).

Remote access facilities for E-books and E-journals: The Library is a member of UGC-NLIST (National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content) Consortium for accessing e-resources. Students can access different e-journals and e-books from NLIST. Remote access facility is provided to students for using NLIST.

Book Bank :

Book Bank facility is provided to weaker sections of all Semesters students (approved by Principal and HOD of the  respective subjects)

Internet Service :

Wi-Fi facility is available to all members of the Library.

New Arrivals:

The lists of newly purchased books are provided in the New Arrivals platform under the Library section of UCC website.

Digital Library :

Some OPEN ACCESS E-RESOURCES are available in the Digital Library platform under the Library section of UCC website.

Digital Archive:

Previous Years Internal Question Papers of UCC and Previous Years University (University Of Calcutta) Question Papers are provided in the Digital Archive platform under the Library section of UCC website.
